Deer Herd in Autumn

The inspiration for this painting came from a walk in an autumn forest, where I was deeply moved by the colorful scenery and the leisurely posture of the deer herd.
With “the divinity of nature and the poetry of life” as the core theme, the painting attempts to convey the quiet power of the integration of life and environment in the autumn forest. In terms of color, the impressionistic staining technique is adopted, and warm colors such as red, yellow, and gold are used to lay out the autumn leaves, simulating the dappled light and shadow when the sun penetrates the trees. In terms of technique, rough and dynamic brushstrokes are used to shape the deer herd, especially the outline of the central stag. This not only highlights its symbolic form as a “forest elf” but also makes the deer herd seem to blend with the light, shadow, and vegetation of the autumn forest through the contrast of color shades.
When creating this work, I hope viewers can feel that the deer herd is not only a part of the forest but also a symbol of the natural order. In the splendor and tranquility of autumn, it carries the thinking about “the harmonious coexistence of life and nature” — they not only have wild tension but also achieve a poetic balance with the gentle autumn scenery.
